Natural Equine Intercourse for expieranced equestrian professionals is Dangerous - Hard to control - and Unpredictable.
Although
Equine Artificial Insemination requires a much higher level of veterinary input than natural equine intercourse, the result is far
more predictable far less dangerous and eaisier to control. The high level of veterinary is required because it is necessary to accurately
predict or detect ovulation so that insemination can be performed at the optimal time.

on site lab, excellent handling facilities and liquid nitrogen tanks for frozen semen storage. Most importantly Higher Spen Equestrian
Services is run by experienced and conscientious staff to handle and look after your mare. Aireworth Vets has six Equine Vets with
AI experience and expertise as well as all the equipment necessary for modern stud practice.
It may be advisable to arrange a pre-breeding
assessment of the mare before
firm plans are formulated with respect to any A.I. program. A pre-breeding
assessment should be
performed when the mare is in season and includes a manual examination's, ultrasound examination of the tubular tract and the
ovaries and the collection and examination of a cervical smear.
Mare's are settled in our Large Foaling Boxes and are regularly checked throughout the night. 24 Hr CCTV monitors the Mare's progress and condition as well as regular visits. When the time for Birth approaches we are in constant attendance.
