No
expense has been spared in creating Higher Spen
Equestrian Services - a purpose-built health and fitness training
centre for horses and ponies providing one of the most extensive
equestrian therapy facilities in north west England.
Situated in a stunning rural location at
Fence in Lancashire, Higher Spen Equestrian Services has been
developed by Jane and Maurice Dewhurst on their 70-acre farm.
As established sports horse breeders, Jane
and Maurice Dewhurst have now focussed their life-long experience
of horses and ponies into this new venture which provides
state-of-the-art facilities.
They include a 12-feet deep hydrotherapy
pool, equine spa, solarium, covered 5-stall Claydon horse
walker and America Barn stabling with spacious light and airy
loose boxes built to the highest specification by Bradmore.
There is also a large all weather ménage
adjacent to the American Barn providing a secure exercise
area on a sand and rubber surface.
But that's only part of the story. As well
as providing excellence in all its health and fitness training
facilities, Higher Spen Equestrian Services also offers short
and long-term rehabilitation and remedial livery.
Higher Spen Equestrian Services provide
a range of health and fitness programmes to ensure horses
and ponies achieve their full potential in competition or
the show ring.
Their benefits are also being recognised
for the role they can play as part of pre-sale preparation
and within of race-horse fitness programmes.
There are also dedicated on-site AI facilities offering owners
veterinary supervised care and attention for brood mares.
A foaling service can also be undertaken.
The main health and fitness facilities have been created in
a purpose built centre which includes the hydrotherapy pool,
the equine spa, solarium and range of 10 Bradmore looses boxes
which include foaling accommodation. The centre also has a
comfortable waiting room where owners can relax and make tea
and coffee. |
